Entries in The National Roll of the Great War were compiled by subscription. Information for the entries was generally submitted by family members or the soldiers themselves. Information provided was not verified and therefore, may or may not be accurate.
The collection does not cover the whole of the country, and even for the areas it does cover, is not comprehensive.
Despite the collection’s shortcomings, it does contain valuable information that may be the only place it is recorded. It is also a good starting place for researching Great War soldiers.
