 Minnesota, soldater i inbördeskriget

When the American Civil War began, Minnesota's population numbered about 172,000. Of these, an estimated 15% were mustered into military service to fight for the Union army. This database is a list of nearly 26,100 men inducted into the army from the state between 1861 and 1865. Researchers will find the soldier's name, rank and induction date. Additionally, where available, information regarding discharge date, residence, and age when inducted is provided. Compiled by John Dalby, this is a valuable addition to the Ancestry.com online library.
